My name is Patty and my son, Mario, suffered a spinal cord injury on June 4, 2004 in Costa Rica. Mario was only 20 years old.

We initially purchased a Ford E-150 van and had Golden Boy do the complete conversion. From our very first meeting with Gary Collie Sr. (now retired) we felt very secure in our choice to use Golden Boy. The van served us well and we were very happy.

In April of 2006, Mario was ready to start driving again and we felt it was crucial to his mental health as well as his independence to get him behind the wheel.  After completing a disabled driving program we were ready to purchase a van for our son.

We, of course, went to Golden Boy of Poway where we were quite confident that they would provide Mario with the proper van and hand controls that would best suit his needs.  I cannot express enough the professionalism, customer service, and quality products that the team at Golden Boy have provided us.  The van, along with the EZ Lock system, Braun ramp, and hand controls are high quality products that have been well maintained by Golden Boy.  

We have  complete faith and trust in the employees at Golden Boy and would highly recommend them to anyone interested in purchasing a van conversion and/or maintaining their current vehicle.  They have become part of our family.
