Disability Rights CA works to advance the rights of Californians with disabilities.
The California Department of Rehabilitation works in partnership with consumers and other stakeholders to provide services and advocacy resulting in employment, independent living and equality for individuals with disabilities.
The Disability Services Department ensures that every facility, activity, benefit, program and service operated or funded by the City is fully accessible to, and usable by, people with disabilities in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, as well as other federal, state and local access codes and disability rights laws.
Californians for Disability Rights is the oldest and largest membership organization of persons with disabilities in California. CDR represents all persons with disabilities in California. Guided by this trans-disability principle, CDR and its members fight for the independence, dignity and equality of all disabled persons.
Access to Independence is an independent living center (ILC), a nonresidential, cross-disability, non-profit corporation that provides services to people with disabilities to help maximize their independence and fully integrate into their communities. Access to Independence is one of 391 ILCs across the country and one of 29 serving Californians. Like all ILCs, Access to Independence offers required federal and state programs and services to people of all disability types and ages at no charge.
