Disabled Explorers

Disabled Explorers is an all volunteer, donation supported non-profit that assist persons with physical disabilities to enjoy travel through remote back-country areas. With a Sportsmobile WAVE (Wheelchair Accessible Van for Expeditions), a 4×4 RV style van, and a dedicated core of volunteers, they offer driving and passenger experiences to the disabled and their families. Based in Phoenix, AZ and traveling throughout the desert southwest allows Disabled Explorer participants to explore historic, scenic and cultural sites that will never have ramps, handrails or pathways.
