SDASF works to coordinate and foster a program of adaptive sports for individuals with a permanent physical disability that prevents them from participating in regular sports and athletics by providing competitive league sports, recreational team sports, instructional camps, and sports clinics, and offers other adaptive sports based on need and interest.

The Fitness Clinic for Individuals with Disabilities is a community outreach program through the School of Exercise and Nutritional Sciences at San Diego State University. The Fitness Clinic serves those from the San Diego region with a wide variety of physical disabilities and offers them the opportunity to reach their fitness and exercise goals.
